Today’s #SelfLoveSaturday tip is to think about a fun time you had. When you’re feeling down or a little too anxious, sometimes remembering something fun you did, is a great way to perk up.
One of my favorite memories to remember, was going to Disney World in January 2015 with my family. It was one of the best weeks of my life. I was with people I loved, in a place I loved, seeing all the sites that brought a big smile to my face.
My favorite part of the trip was my visit to Beast Castle and the “Be Our Guest” restaurant. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite movies, and being in a place inspired by it, was a once in a lifetime feeling that I know I will never forget.
It is one of my favorite times to think about because I was just so happy, and thinking about it, makes me happy all over again. I feel it’s important to remember the good times, because it’s a good reminder that even when your anxiety is saying things are bad, life is never as bad as it seems.
So give yourself some self love today by remembering your favorite moments. It can be as simple as thinking about a good nap you had or as big as a vacation. No matter what it is, if it makes you happy, then that’s all that matters.
