Hello Monday


Monday’s…they’re one of the worst days of the week. The weekend is over, you can no longer sleep in& the work week anxiety comes in at full force.

But what if we didn’t look at Monday’s like a Monday? What if we just saw it as a brand new day? What if it’s just a brand new day to smile, to breathe, and to live?

I don’t like Monday’s for a lot of reasons, one of them being work. I get extremely anxious about what I do, if I’m doing it right, etc. And with my anxiety reemerging, I can already tell how my week will go.

So today, and next Monday, and the next, I am going to try and look at Monday’s in a new light. No matter how we feel about them, we’re stuck with Monday’s and there’s nothing we can do to change that. But one thing we can do, is change our outlook on Monday’s and accept them as another day to live. I love this quote from Eeyore, “It’s not much of a tail, but I’m sort of attached to it.”2016-08-22 15.02.54

You may not like Monday’s, but you’re attached to them. So instead of focusing on the negatives, find a positive. See it as a new day to do something, even if it’s just as little as getting out of bed, or going for a walk. Just enjoy these days, and eventually you’ll fall in love with Monday’s, just like Eeyore loves his tail.

  1. I loved reading this post! I hate Monday’s and they make me really anxious but this post has made me realise that they don’t always have to be bad and there can be positives. Thank you for writing this. I’ve followed your blog, I look forward to reading your future posts!
