Cuddle Buddy Joy


Happy #SmileSunday everyone! Today is the 1st of many Sunday posts that focus on finding a reason to smile in your life!

Today, I decided to focus on something that could be seen as a little childish, but is a big help for me, especially when my anxiety becomes too much for me to handle.

Meet Eeyore. Yes, he is the same Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, but in a good sized stuffed animal form.Since I learned the back stories behind all the Winnie the Pooh characters, I related deeply with Eeyore. Now I don’t have severe  depression, but I know do experience depression more times than I would want to admit. I also relate to how he acts in the show and movies. Overall, he’s just a character that I see a lot of myself in.

So to help make me smile, I bought a stuffed Eeyore, so that I could always have him to hold onto when I was feeling down and full of anxiety. There is nothing better than lying in bed, and cuddling away with your favorite stuff animals. I mean, I wish it was a person at times, so that I could talk out my feelings. But for now, Eeyore and my other buddies do just fine.

So my tip for you today on this #SmileSunday, is to find yourself a cuddle buddy to make you smile. If you want it to be a person, than that’s fine too. But I suggest finding a stuffed animal. It’s something soft, perfect size for hugging& it allows you to feel like a kid, even if it’s just for a few minutes!
