Music Soothes the Heart and the Brain

Anxiety sucks. And it sucks even more when you don’t have a way to calm yourself down.

But through the years and the anxiety attacks, I have figured out that finding the right song or artist can be the fix you need to find peace. (Even if it is just for that moment)

It’s scientifically proven that music can help sooth the brain, and help a person feel better. According to OM Harmonics, Music helps with Anxiety by,

“Music is very good at promoting self-soothing: have you ever hummed a tune to decrease anxiety or to remain calm under pressure? If you have a theme song you like to play before competition or some big event, you know exactly how helpful this is – and it can be anything you really like – anything to distract you from the stress of the moment and get you pumped up”

That type of music can be different for everyone, and that is how it should be. Music, like anxiety, is personal for everyone else.

Personally, I have different playlists that depends on my mood. I have the slow music, the upbeat music, and a little bit of everything in between.

Here’s a view of the songs and artists I listen to during my anxiety struggles.
